Registration

In order to participate in the auctions on roupamania.com, you must first register to become a member. First, you must select a Username, which is the name you will be known by while you're on our site. Please note your Username will be viewable by all roupamania.com members. You will also be asked for a password to secure your roupamania.com account. Please note that once you've chosen a username, you will not be able to change it.

You must provide valid contact information and a valid e-mail address. This is required so that buyers and sellers will be able to contact one another once an auction closes. roupamania does not release registered user information to third parties and this information is not used for marketing purposes. Registered users are permitted only 1 (one) account with roupamania.com. Multiple accounts will be deactivated.

Step 1: Enter your contact and personal information

Your contact information includes your name, address and phone number. Personal information includes your date of birth, which is required to verify that you are at least 18 years of age.

You need to enter an email address that you can check immediately because Roupamania will send you an email that contains instructions on how to complete the registration.

Important: Having a working email address is especially important on Roupamania. We use email to notify you when you've won an item and to find out shipping and payment options from other buyers and sellers.

Step 3: Read and accept the Roupamania User Agreement and Privacy Policy

You must accept the agreement to continue registering.

You’ll use your user ID and password every time you sign in to roupamania.

User ID is the unique name you use to identify yourself on roupamania and can be seen by all roupamania users. Your user ID is displayed when you buy or sell on roupamania or communicate with other roupamania members. However, other members won't be able to see your real name and other personal information.

You use your user ID and password to sign into roupamania. When you register, choose a user ID that you like and that you'll remember. For example:

• You might use words identifying your favorite collecting area, your business, or your occupation.

• You could refer to your hometown and call yourself georgia_peach.

• You can refer to your own sense of style and choose happyhal.

Remember that user IDs can contain letters (a-z), numbers (0-9), and/or some symbols, and must be at least six characters long.

The following list includes characters and elements that you cannot include in a user ID:

• The @, &,‘,(, ), <, or > character.

• Spaces or tabs
  Tip: You can use a hyphen to represent a space.

Note: If you received the message You have entered a user ID that is not allowed, you might have included one or more characters or spaces that are not allowed in a user ID.

Step 5: Check your email

You’ll check your email for a registration email from roupamania.com and follow the instructions in the email to confirm your registration and complete the registration process. You may begin bidding immediately.

Roupamania reserves the right to terminate without notice any roupamania.com membership.

Buying merchandise on roupamania.com is quick and easy. If you have something in mind, you can search all currently open listings using our Search feature. Alternatively, you can browse through our auctions using a simple system of categories.

Once you find what you're looking for, you can click on the item's description to enter the item's "Listing Page". This area contains all pertinent information about the item, including warranty, shipping and description specific information. We urge you to read this information carefully, allowing you the ability to bid confidently.

After the allotted time for an auction has expired, a message indicating SOLD will be displayed.

Before you begin, We suggest you read the Bidders Tips section of the site. This section contains information intended to educate and protect you from online fraud.

Placing a Bid

Your bid amount must exceed the current highest bid by at least the set bid increment. Only place bids in whole dollar amounts. Cent increments will not be applied.
Typically you will receive an e-mail declaring you the current winner of an auction.

Tracking Your Bids

Bidder's Watch List

Use roupamania.com "Watch list" feature to track items you are interested in, but not yet ready to bid on. The watch list closely monitors the status of these items so that you are able to keep an eye on them as they develop.

Internet fraud is a serious offense. Every time you log in to roupamania.com, Your IP address is recorded. This information can be used against fraudulent bidders. roupamania.com will fully cooperate with any investigation into internet fraud involving our auctions.

Bid shilling occurs when someone bids on an item for the sole purpose of driving up the price. Please bid only on items you intend to purchase. Any evidence of bid shilling on a roupamania.com auction warrants immediate termination of membership.

You will enter your Username and Password each time you log in to roupamania.com We suggest writing your username and password down for your future reference. To log in to roupamania.com, click in Log In. You will be asked to enter your username and password.

Do not share your username and password information with anyone. You alone are responsible for all activity on your account.

If you forget your password:

If you forget your Username or Password, click http://www.roupamania.com/lostpass.php. You will be asked to enter the e-mail address you registered with us. We will email you your current username and password information.

Cookie Information

Cookies are small files stored on your hard drive that store login information.

In order to participate in the auctions at roupamania.com, your browser's cookies must be enabled each time you log on.

Your browser should already be set up to accept cookies by default, but if your settings have changed, or your browser continually returns to the login page after you submit your login information, follow these steps to enable cookies:

3. you will then see a box with Cookies options

The single most common reason for an inability to log in is username/password problems. Before taking any of the steps mentioned below, check your username and password. Make sure your caps lock is off. You can easily tell by looking for the lights on your keyboard. If the light marked "CAPS" or "A" is lit, then hit the "Caps Lock" key to turn it off, and try your username and password again.

If that fails, you will need to ensure your browser's cookies are enabled.

After the auction closes, the listing page will show you as auction winner. We will also send you an automated email indicating the auction has closed and you are the winning bidder.

If the item is being sold by a certified merchant, you should be contacted by the merchant shortly after the auction closes. Their e-mail to you will contain contact and payment information pertinent to the particular seller.
